Join NEABC in a weekend of riding, learning, and advocacy.
Friday, the 21st is National Bike to Work Day. We will be celebrating with an escorted ride through Jonesboro to promote bicycles as a fun, healthy form of transportation.
Saturday the 22nd, come out to Craighead Forest Park and learn everything you need to know to get out on the road or trail... get the answers to all those questions you need to know, but have been afraid to ask. Children will learn bike handling and traffic skills from League of American Bicyclist Certified Instructors (LCIs). A League Certified Instructor will also be holding a road skills class for adults that will give you all the skills to drive your bike and feel confident out on the road. Experienced mountain bikers will be on hand to teach you all the skills you need to handle riding off-road. And, you won't want to miss the repair/maintenance class taught by a professional bike mechanic or the first-aid/injury prevention class.
Sunday the 23rd, meet up with your new riding buddies and go out for a casual ride to try out your new skills. The road ride will meet in downtown Jonesboro and the mountain bike ride will meet at Craighead Forest Park. Both rides will be very beginner-friendly!!! |
