Our 2010 7th Annual "Meowathon" 5k Run/Walk benefiting the House of Mews will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010. Registration starts at 7:30 am with the race at 9 a.m. in Overton Park in midtown Memphis, TN (enter off of East Parkway, between Poplar and Sam Cooper). Our event features a SILENT AUCTION, door prizes and refreshments. Walkers welcome! If you cannot run/walk, please consider sponsoring a cat for the day for $15. The House of Mews is a 15-year-old 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat sanctuary / adoption agency currently being operated by a volunteer staff that has cared for and adopted 8,600 homeless cats. We exist solely on support through donations from the people in our community. In addition, we sell retail pet supplies to help defray expenses. Profits go directly into the care of the cats in our possession, which is currently over 140.
